Gathering Information & Assessment

Autism assessments are carried out by two clinicians experienced in Autism diagnosis.
The assessment involves the following:
- Gathering information from parents. This is often carried out over the phone or video call but can take place in our clinic if preferred.
- Gathering information from your child’s school / nursery.
- Face to face assessment with your child. This will often include administration of ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition).
- If required, our Autism clinicians would consult with a Psychologist.
- Outcome of assessment is discussed with parents. This can also be discussed with the young person if requested.
- Assessment report is shared with family.
